What tissue does the biceps belong to?

In fact, not everyone has a comprehensive understanding of some muscle tissue problems in their body. It is precisely because of this that some negligence in life may easily lead to injuries to these parts. Therefore, if you want to better protect the health of these parts and prevent them from being injured, then you should pay more attention to the common sense of these muscle tissue parts. What I want to introduce to you below is some knowledge about the biceps.

A tissue is a collection of cells with similar structures and the same functions; an organ is a series of tissues and cells organized in a certain way, and an organ can perform one or a class of specific physiological functions. The biceps brachii is mainly composed of connective tissue and muscle tissue. Its function is to drive bone movement and protect bones. It has the characteristics of an organ, so the biceps brachii is an organ.

The biceps brachii is located on the front of the upper arm, and the entire muscle is spindle-shaped. The biceps brachii has long and short biceps. Hence the name. The long head of the biceps originates from the supraglenoid tuberosity of the scapula, and the short head originates from the coracoid process of the scapula. The long and short heads merge into a muscle belly in the middle of the humerus, descend to the lower end of the humerus, and the integrated tendon ends at the radial tuberosity and the fascia aponeurotica of the forearm. When fixed near, the biceps flex and externally rotate the forearm at the elbow joint, and flex the upper arm at the shoulder joint. When fixed far, the biceps brings the upper arm closer to the forearm. Electromyographic observation shows that the biceps only have obvious electromyographic activity when the forearm is externally rotated so that the palm faces forward and the elbow is flexed. When the forearm is internally rotated, even if the palm faces the side of the body or behind the body and the elbow is flexed, the potential activity of the biceps is very small or there is no potential activity. This is also one of the main principles of biceps exercises that basically hold the instrument with the palm facing forward.

It doesn't mean that we should pay attention only when these muscle tissue parts of the body are injured. If we know and understand these common sense more in normal times, then the health care of these parts can bring good results. Therefore, everyone should know and understand these muscle tissue problems more in normal times.
