Tennis elbow treatment tips

Tennis elbow treatment tips

Tennis elbow is a common elbow disease. Most of the patients are white-collar workers, especially those who sit in front of a computer all day. Long-term use of the arms can easily lead to tennis elbow. It is called tennis elbow mainly because the first people to suffer from tennis elbow were tennis players, hence the name. Tennis elbow requires formal treatment. Never trust the folk remedies for treating tennis elbow, which are completely useless.

Medical standards are relatively advanced at present, so there is no need to believe in folk remedies for the treatment of tennis elbow. As long as timely treatment is carried out and more exercise is performed, tennis elbow can be corrected. Patients must not be confused and delay treatment.

Folk remedies for treating tennis elbow: 1. 10 grams each of radix spatholobi, herba spatholobi, cassia twig, zanthoxylum bungeanum, safflower, angelica sinensis, and angelica dahurica, and 15 grams of dried ginger. Add about 3500 ml of warm water to the medicine. Soak for two hours and boil for 30 minutes. Hot steam fumigation for 30 minutes. When the temperature of the medicine solution is appropriate, soak and scald the affected area for 30 minutes. Fumigation should be done once in the morning and evening every day, each time for about an hour. Each dose of medicine is used for one day until the disease is cured. The therapeutic effect can be improved if local massage is combined with fumigation.

Folk remedy for tennis elbow 2. 30 grams each of smilax china, angelica, soapberry thorn, Liu Jinu, Chuanxiong, Corydalis yanhusuo, Sappan wood, frankincense, and myrrh, and 15 grams of safflower. Mix the above medicine with half vinegar and half water, boil it to obtain about 1500 ml of the liquid, and use it to fumigate and soak the affected elbow joint while it is warm, for 30 minutes each time, twice a day. One dose of medicine is used for 3 days. After washing, use 9 grams each of Drynaria fortunei, Myrrha, Red Peony Root, and Dipsacus asper, grind them into fine powder, add 100 grams of Vaseline or honey and mix well into a paste. Apply to the painful area and fix with gauze tape until the pain disappears and you can move freely.

The above two are common folk remedies for treating tennis elbow. If the patient does not believe them, they can try them. If they do not work, they should seek timely treatment to avoid worsening of the condition or bone fixation, which will be very unfavorable for future treatment. I would like to remind everyone to combine work and rest in daily life and stay away from tennis elbow.
