Three "don'ts" after swimming

1. Don’t take a shower immediately: Your body has not yet returned to normal after exercise, so it is not advisable to take a shower immediately, especially a hot shower. If you take a cold shower immediately after swimming, your skin will be suddenly irritated, causing your blood vessels to contract immediately, increasing blood circulation resistance and reducing your body's resistance. Taking a hot bath will continue to increase blood flow in the skin, leading to insufficient blood supply to the heart and brain. In mild cases, it may cause dizziness, and in severe cases, it may cause collapse and shock.

2. Don’t drink excessively to quench your thirst: Drinking a lot of water will increase the burden on the gastrointestinal tract and dilute the gastric juice, which will not only reduce the bactericidal effect of the gastric juice, but also affect the digestion of food. However, drinking water too quickly will suddenly increase the burden on the heart and may even cause heart failure, chest tightness, abdominal distension, etc.

3. Don’t smoke: The human body’s metabolism speeds up after exercise. If you smoke, a large amount of smoke will enter the body.
