Yoga is now a very popular sport, and yoga studios are springing up everywhere. Many women want to achieve body beauty and body shaping effects by practicing yoga. In fact, there are many types of yoga, and the effects of different types of yoga exercises are also different. Yoga poses are even more diverse. Let me introduce to you what meridian yoga poses are!

Bladder Meridian: Blooming Lotus Pose

Mechanism of action: The kidneys are the wastewater treatment plants of the human body, filtering 2,000 liters of blood every day, and converting blood impurities into nutrients needed by the human organs through the glomeruli. Functional imbalance can cause high blood pressure, poisoning, and poor blood circulation in the lower body... Once discomfort occurs, symptoms such as darkening of the facial skin and loss of luster will occur. Dry mouth, sore throat. Dizziness when standing up, loss of appetite, and a feeling of weakness especially in the pit of the stomach. Diarrhea and fatigue. The back and inner sides of the feet are cold, the soles and toes are hot, there is a feeling of fatigue, low back pain, and loss of energy. Mental weakness and lack of energy to do anything. Kidneys are the source of health and life, but they will gradually weaken with age. If the above symptoms occur, please stimulate the acupoints on the kidney meridian to improve the symptoms.

The bladder is an organ that assists the kidneys and stores urine, while toxins in our body are excreted through urine. The bladder is extremely elastic and can hold a little or a lot of urine. It is related to psychological elasticity. The bladder meridian is the longest meridian in the human body with a total of 67 acupoints. It is the only meridian other than the Du meridian that passes through the brain.

Postures for dredging the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian and the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian:

Liver Meridian: Dragonfly Pose

Gallbladder Meridian: Sleeping Swan Pose

Mechanism of Action: The liver is the largest gland in the body, weighing about three to four pounds (1.5 to 2 kilograms). It is located on the right side of the abdominal cavity below the diaphragm and protected by the lower ribs. It is the main storage site for vitamins A, D, K, and B2, as well as minerals and glycogen, which is converted into glucose. The liver is an important chemical factory in the body. Any substance that cannot be broken down for energy will eventually be detoxified by the liver. The liver continuously produces bile, which is stored in the gallbladder. When the liver qi is unbalanced, it is associated with various paralysis, arthritis, muscle weakness, stiffness, dizziness, blurred vision, decreased vision, blindness, etc.... When this meridian is lesioned, the main clinical manifestations are low back pain that cannot be bent or stretched, chest and flank fullness, lower abdominal pain, hernia, vertex pain, dry throat, dizziness, bitter mouth, depression or irritability.

Stomach Meridian: Saddle Pose

Mechanism of action: The spleen is an important digestive organ that stores blood (can supply blood to the whole body in an emergency) and is about the same size as the heart. It is located to the left rear of the stomach, below the diaphragm, and produces lymphocytes that recycle and regenerate red blood cells. If this meridian is lesioned, the main clinical manifestations are:

The base of the tongue is painful, vomiting occurs after eating, epigastric pain, abdominal distension and belching, heaviness and fatigue, difficulty in moving, swelling and coldness in the thighs and knees, numbness of the big toe, poor movement, loss of appetite, restlessness, loose stools, or diarrhea, edema, and jaundice.

The stomach is located on the left side of the diaphragm, between the esophagus and the large and small intestines. It is an important digestive organ that receives food and begins the process of dissolving and distributing it. The useful food is sent to the spleen and the impure food is sent to the small intestine for further filtration. Food is usually distributed after 3-4 hours in the stomach. The role of the stomach is very valuable because it supplies energy at all levels, whether it is physical, spiritual, or psychological growth. It is extremely important for health because diet causes the greatest interference to the health of the stomach qi. When this meridian is lesioned, the main clinical manifestations are: intestinal rumbling and bloating, abdominal pain, stomach pain, ascites, vomiting or hunger, thirst, sore throat, epistaxis, pain in the chest and knees and other parts of the meridian, fever, madness and other symptoms.

Hand Taiyin Lung Meridian and Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian:

Lung Meridian: Quarter Dog

Large Intestine Meridian: Sphinx Pose

Mechanism of action: The lungs are a huge system responsible for inhaling, filtering, absorbing, utilizing and excreting. The lungs are the softest organ in the body and an important way to replenish energy. They receive pure air from the sky through inhalation and retreat downward to become the source of kidney energy. If we often catch colds or feel unwell, it must be because the lung qi (related to the protective qi) is weak. The nose and throat are closely related to the lungs and are the main channels for respiration! Any abnormal changes in this meridian will manifest as the following symptoms: distension of the lungs, shortness of breath, cough, pain in the supraclavicular fossa "quepnel" (including the throat); in severe cases, the patient will clasp his hands together, feel chest tightness, and blurred vision. Qi and blood obstruction in the forearm may also occur, such as coldness, numbness, pain, etc.

The large intestine is about five feet long and includes the colon and rectum. It is the place where waste is stored and removed. The large intestine collects garbage and is responsible for absorbing water and excreting waste from the body. If the system is overburdened, it may cause diarrhea-like constipation, headaches or facial pustules, etc. If this meridian is lesioned, the main clinical manifestations are: abdominal pain, abdominal rumbling and diarrhea, weakened large intestine function, stiff shoulders, dull skin, shoulder soreness, dry throat, wheezing, and stool retention.

The above is some introduction to meridian yoga poses. In fact, there are many types of meridian yoga. Due to the length of the article, I will not introduce them in detail here. If you want to achieve the effect of dredging the meridians through practicing yoga, it is best to practice in a professional and formal yoga studio. It would be better to have a professional yoga teacher to guide you.
