Causes of golf injuries

Causes of golf injuries

When it comes to golf, the first impression should be wearing a white sportswear and swinging the club on a large green lawn. It looks so relaxing and comfortable, but is it really so? Of course not. Although this sport seems easier than other sports, you will actually sweat profusely after playing a game of golf. Moreover, it is very easy to get injured if you are not careful when playing golf. Today we will talk about the causes of golf injuries.

Sports injuries caused by excessive muscle fatigue are also one of the main causes of injuries. Overworked muscles need proper relaxation and rest. As with most musculoskeletal injuries, excessive use of muscles and bones can easily lead to fatigue of body tissues, and fatigued tissues can easily reduce the body's ability to perform exercises. If the activity is repeated for a long time, the chance of injury increases.

When you go to the driving range, it is best to rest for at least 30 seconds after hitting 10 to 15 balls, catch your breath and then continue hitting. Never hit 30 to 40 balls at a time just because you can't hit the ball. This will easily make your body tired and make it more difficult to hit the ball.

An improper golf swing is another common cause of injury. Many golf injuries occur near the moment of impact with the ball, when the elbows and wrists are most vulnerable. An improper swing can easily cause uneven force on the tissues and affect their performance, exposing them to the risk of injury.

Another common mechanism of injury is the swing hitting the ground. When the club hits the ground instead of the ball, the energy generated by the backswing cannot be properly transferred to the ball. Instead, it hits the ground and rebounds back to the body through the club, especially the arms that are holding the club tightly. This excessive load on the arms may cause tissue injury. In addition, excessive swings and improper warm-up exercises are also common causes of injuries.

Above we have told you the causes of golf injuries. After reading this, do you have a new understanding of golf? It turns out that it is not as simple as it seems. In fact, some injuries in this sport can be avoided. For example, do a good warm-up exercise, avoid excessive fatigue, and follow the coach's instructions, all of which can reduce injuries.
