Many of my friends are practicing yoga. I wonder if they can practice yoga after a meal? What else should they pay attention to? Most women who love beauty like to practice yoga. I heard from a friend that practicing yoga can make one more elegant and can also help one lose weight, make the waist softer, and have a body-shaping effect. Yoga can be practiced at all times except mealtimes; it is best to practice it three or four hours after a meal. Early morning or evening are good choices. Movements in the evening are generally more flexible than in the morning, so yoga poses can be performed more accurately. Practicing in the evening can help eliminate the day's fatigue and restore energy.

1. Keep a calm mind. When many people choose to practice yoga, the first thing they consider is whether they can quickly lose weight or improve their body shape, which goes against the purpose of yoga. You should maintain a calm mind, not blindly pursue complex body movements, and do what you can according to your own condition.

2. Do not eat within one hour before or after practicing yoga, and try to avoid practicing within two hours after a meal.

3. It is not advisable to practice difficult movements six months after surgery and during women’s menstrual period.

4. Patients with hypertension, asthma and pregnant women can only do simple movements.

5. It is better to go barefoot and wear loose and comfortable clothes so that the body can move freely.

6. It is not advisable to practice on a floor that is too hard or a bed that is too soft. You should lay a mat on the ground when practicing.

7. It is advisable to practice in a quiet, well-ventilated room, and do not place too many things in the room.

8. Do not laugh or talk while practicing. Maintain regular, deep breathing, which will help your body relax.

9. As a form of fitness, remember to warm up for a few minutes before practicing yoga. During the practice, listen to your deep and gentle breathing to feel every inch of your body, guiding you from one posture to another. If you feel uncomfortable, you should slow down your yoga movements.

Not only yoga cannot be practiced immediately after a meal, but general exercise must be practiced after a rest period of time after a meal to avoid harming the body.
