Table tennis is the national sport, and most Chinese people can play it once or twice. Playing table tennis can not only exercise the body and improve physical fitness, but also make people's reactions more acute. Of course, table tennis has many skills and methods. Only by mastering these skills and methods can you achieve better results in repeated training and be invincible in the road of ball skills competition.

Table Tennis Basic Technique Series 1

1. Grip

The racket grip refers to the method of holding the racket with one hand. There are two popular grip methods in the world: vertical and horizontal, and each has its own advantages. When practicing, we should tailor it to the individual and play to their strengths and avoid their weaknesses.

Exercise points (taking the right hand as an example)

1. Straight grip: Hold the racket with the first knuckle of the thumb and the second knuckle of the index finger on the front, with the handle pressing against the base of the thumb (the distance between the two fingers is moderate), and the middle finger, ring finger and little finger on the back are naturally bent and overlapped in an oblique shape. The first knuckle of the middle finger presses against the upper back of the racket to keep the racket stable. Slice and attack grip: bend the thumb naturally and press it against the left side of the racket handle. Press down hard with the first knuckle, and spread the other four fingers naturally to support the back of the racket.

The key and difficulty of the vertical grip is to hold the racket comfortably and control the racket face properly with the wrist.

2 Horizontal grip: The middle finger, ring finger and little finger naturally hold the racket handle, the thumb lightly places next to the middle finger on the front of the racket, the index finger naturally straightens and places it diagonally on the back of the racket, the base of the thumb lightly touches the racket, and the thumb and index finger help the wrist to adjust the racket shape and increase the force of the swing when hitting the ball. When attacking with the forehand, the index finger moves upward, and when attacking with the backhand, the thumb moves toward the middle of the racket to help press the wrist down and increase the power of the shot.

The cutting grip is basically the same as the attacking grip, except that the index finger is closer to the middle finger, the thumb is more bent and relaxed, and the base of the thumb is not close to the handle. The key difficulty of the horizontal grip is the skillful movement of the thumb and index finger to help the wrist press down and move when hitting the ball.

2. Teaching methods

1. The teacher demonstrates and leads the students so that they can see the front and back clearly.

2. Students hold the rackets and correct each other according to the movements, and the teacher gives reminders of the key points.

3. Lift the ball upwards in place, feel the movement of your wrist and fingers, and become familiar with the nature of the ball.

4. Move the ball or hit the ball in two rows with a distance of 2 meters between them.

3. Common mistakes and their correction methods

The grip is too big, too small, too tight, too deep, and the wrist is stiff.

Correction method: Explain the key points of the movements, hold the racket correctly, and relax your fingers and wrists.
