So what is a muscle group training program?

Exercise intensity

Exercise intensity is one of the most important factors in stimulating muscle growth. Practice has shown that different exercise intensities produce different training effects in thigh muscle training.

With an intensity of more than 1.90%, the number of attempts is small, the total energy consumption is small, and the energy supply is mainly provided by anaerobic metabolism. Although muscle strength increases rapidly, muscle volume does not change much. Long-term ultra-intensive training can easily lead to injury or overtraining, and produce negative emotions.

This type of load is sometimes used in bodybuilding training. For those with poor basic strength or those with high training levels who are in a "plateau period", the appropriate use of this exercise can help improve muscle strength. Professional weightlifters often use this training method because the purpose of weightlifting training is to increase muscle strength while controlling weight gain.

2.80-90% intensity can increase muscle volume. However, if fixed-load intensity and set training are often used, the muscles will easily become "adaptive" to the training, causing the muscles to grow slowly or stop growing.

3.60-70% intensity and high-repetition exercises are beneficial to improving muscle endurance and muscle quality, and only play an auxiliary role in leg exercises for large muscle groups. Frequent training with low stimulation intensity will result in weak body response and easy adaptation, so it is not suitable for long-term use.

In thigh training, I combine "weight training day" and "light training day". On weight day, I use 80-90% of the maximum weight to complete each set of 6-8 training to deepen the stimulation of the muscles and increase the strength and volume of the thigh muscles.
