What is the practice of yoga

Nowadays, due to work and space reasons, many sports cannot be done, so yoga is becoming more and more popular. Regarding yoga, it is actually suitable for people of all ages, both men and women. So how do you practice yoga? Let’s ask professionals for the answers below.

First posture: Headstand

This pose is known as the "king of asanas" and is very beneficial for regulating all systems of the whole body, because the inverted state is exactly our state in the mother's womb, the state of human beings at the beginning of life. In advanced yoga training, headstand is used as the first posture to be practiced.

Practice method:

1. In diamond pose, cross your hands and place your elbows on the ground in front of your knees, forming an isosceles triangle. 2. Place two fingers on the forehead and hairline on the ground, support the back of the head with the palms of your hands, and hold it still. 3. Inhale, lift your arms up, and straighten your legs.

4. Exhale, move your feet towards your body, gradually straighten your back, and keep your thighs against your chest and abdomen. 5. Shift your center of gravity to your head and arms, and feel your feet naturally and slowly leave the ground. You can also lift one foot first and then the other.

6. Bend your knees, bring your calves close to your thighs, keep your back straight, maintain balance, and slowly raise your legs. You can hold your breath or breathe normally to maintain your body balance. 7. Finally, straighten your legs and body, hold for a while, and then return to the original position.

8. You can hold your breath during the movement. After practicing for a period of time, breathing will become natural. Once you are in the pose, breathe normally. 9. The holding time can start from 30 seconds and gradually increase to more than 30 minutes.

Efficacy: It is very beneficial to the whole body, especially for regulating the normal function of the brain, and can help eliminate all disease symptoms caused by standing.

Note: People with high blood pressure, heart disease, dizziness, palpitations, or unclean blood should not practice this posture.

The second posture is double lotus sitting

This is an excellent posture for pranayama and meditation practice. An important purpose of practicing yoga postures is to be able to complete the double lotus position and sit steadily for 3 to 4 hours without feeling any discomfort.

Practice method:

1. Sit with your legs straight. 2. Bend one knee and place the instep of your foot on the top of your opposite thigh.

3. The soles of your feet are facing upward, with your heels touching your pelvis. 4. Bend your other knee and place your foot on the opposite thigh. 5. Place your hands on your knees in the wisdom mudra.

effect:

1. Through body stability. Achieve mental peace. 2. Promote the circulation of qi and blood. 3. Provide extra blood supply to the coccyx and sacral nerves and nourish the nerves.

4. Directs blood to the abdominal cavity and enhances sexual ability. 5. Eliminate emotional, mental and physical diseases and regulate digestion. 6. It makes breathing easier, which is beneficial for patients with asthma and bronchitis.

Note:

1. Keep your spine straight. If this is not possible, place a thin cushion under your hips. 2. People suffering from sciatica should not do this pose. 3. People with knee and ankle injuries should be careful or not do this.

The third pose is Corpse Pose.

This position may seem simple, but it is actually the most difficult. To truly lie on your back and relax completely, entering a state of ecstasy, like a zombie, is indeed not something that most people can do. In addition, this movement is the only one that can be practiced before and after any yoga practice, including breathing and meditation, which will use this pose as the final ending.

Practice method:

1. Lie on your back on a mat with your legs slightly wider than shoulder width apart.

2. Place your hands naturally on both sides of your body, palms facing up, with your arms forming a 30 to 45 degree angle with your upper body.

3. Close your eyes and relax your whole body. Benefits: This is a posture that fully relaxes the body, eliminates tension, calms the mind and body, and restores energy.

Note: If you feel discomfort in your waist or neck, you can put a cushion there to protect it, which will help you relax.
