What are the side effects of yoga?

Nowadays, more and more people are keen on practicing yoga. After all, yoga has many benefits to the body. Many people think that practicing yoga has only benefits and no bad effects. But this is not the case. Everything has two sides. Although yoga is good, if the movements are not practiced properly, it will also cause side effects to the body. What are the side effects of yoga? Next, the editor will introduce them to you.

Generally, when practicing yoga for the first time, the coach should tell students some precautions in advance. However, no matter how much attention you pay to breathing, it is impossible to coordinate very well during the first practice. Most students will have mild tiredness, dizziness, or even nausea after the first class, especially in summer when the weather is hot and humid and girls are prone to hypoglycemia. These are all normal. Just ventilate, drink some water, and rest for a while and you will be fine.

On the other hand, yoga gives people the impression of being slow, relaxed and soft. No one would feel that such slow Tai Chi-like movements would bring danger. This is human instinct. In fact, in yoga, those movements that seem simple and easy to you are actually not fully accomplished by 90% or more of people without systematic practice. In addition, people are more competitive and think that the movements are simple. Others may do them well, but they just can't do them well enough, so they will use too much force and get hurt if they are not careful. For example, the back stretch pose is to sit on the mat with your legs together, then bend your body forward and rest it completely on your legs. If the ligaments on the back of the leg are not soft enough, the exercise cannot be done properly. People will habitually lower their heads and push downward with force. If too much force is used, it will cause ligament strain.

In general, the reason why yoga is dangerous is that people cannot correctly view their own abilities. They always try more difficult and larger movements, or want to do their best in the shortest time, while ignoring their own body's abilities, which leads to injuries. On the other hand, the problem is that many yoga instructors today have not received systematic training.
