What are the precautions for swimming in a swimming pool?

Swimming is a very good fitness exercise. When people swim, all the organs of the body will be in a state of mutual coordination, which can make each organ get a certain amount of activity. And when underwater, there will be great resistance to moving forward. Therefore, it will consume a lot of energy. It is also very helpful for weight loss. However, you should pay attention to the following aspects when swimming in a swimming pool.

1. Sinusitis: Water can easily enter the nasal cavity during diving and scuba diving. If the water is unclean, it may cause sinusitis, with symptoms such as nasal congestion and headache. Treatment can be done by alternating 1% ephedrine nasal drops and streptomycin nasal drops.

2. For otitis media, it is best to wear earplugs when swimming to prevent water from entering the ear canal. If you experience ear pain, or even fever and pus discharge after swimming, you may have otitis media and should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time.

3. Vaginitis There are many people who have vaginitis indirectly transmitted by swimming in public swimming pools. Many women experience vaginal itching symptoms after swimming. Women must wash their bodies with clean water after swimming, do not use public bath towels or swimsuits, and do not sit anywhere to avoid cross infection.

4. Allergic dermatitis Swimming in natural waters may sometimes cause dermatitis due to the chemical substances contained in industrial wastewater and domestic sewage. You can use hydrocortisone ointment or calamine lotion and apply it several times a day.

5. Pink eye, also known as acute conjunctivitis, is highly contagious, so you should be especially careful when swimming in a swimming pool. The best way to prevent it is to wear waterproof glasses before swimming. You can also apply chloramphenicol or boric acid eye drops and blow out nasal secretions after swimming.

After swimming, it is best to take a shower with warm water in time to clean up the large number of pathogens carried by the body in the swimming pool. You can also take a short rest in the sun after getting ashore. Also, try not to eat a lot after swimming, which will not only cause obesity, but also may bring a certain burden to the gastrointestinal tract.
