Is winter suitable for morning exercise? What should we pay attention to?

As people age, they sleep less and less, so the elderly get up very early in the morning. For the sake of their health, they are accustomed to doing morning exercises after getting up, regardless of spring, summer, autumn or winter. Although regular morning exercises are good for the body, you still need to pay attention to some things, especially in winter, the elderly should pay more attention to morning exercises.

1. Morning exercise should not be too early

Because the ground temperature is lower before sunrise in winter, the content of pollutants such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide released in the air in the early morning is higher. In addition, harmful pollutants such as nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, lead, etc. in automobile exhaust also gather on the ground. If people get up early to exercise, they will inhale a lot of smoke and toxic gases. Exercising in this environment for a long time may cause fatigue, dizziness, pharyngitis and other diseases, which are harmful to your health.

If you like to exercise in the morning, it should be around 10 o'clock. At this time, the sun comes out and shines on the ground, causing the atmosphere to begin to convect upward and downward, and the polluted air spreads to high altitudes, reducing the harm to the human body.

2. It is not suitable for morning exercise when the temperature is too low

Is winter suitable for morning exercises? If the temperature is too low in the winter morning, or if the temperature drops suddenly, it is not suitable for morning exercises, especially for the elderly and the weak, who have poor body temperature regulation ability and are prone to illness due to cold. The elderly should also pay attention to keeping warm.

3. Morning exercises are not suitable in rainy and foggy weather

It is normal to have foggy weather in winter. Fog is composed of countless tiny water droplets, which contain a large amount of harmful substances such as pollutants and pathogenic bacteria. If you exercise in foggy weather, your breathing volume will increase, and you will inevitably inhale more toxic substances, affecting the oxygen supply. This will cause symptoms such as chest tightness, difficulty breathing, palpitations, etc. In severe cases, it can cause rhinitis, pneumonia, tracheitis, conjunctivitis and other diseases. The humidity is high on foggy days, which affects the secretion of sweat and is harmful to the body. Patients with heart disease and cerebrovascular disease should not go out for morning exercises at this time.

Winter is also suitable for morning exercises, but be careful not to do them too early. It is best to do them after the sun comes out. This way the weather will not be too cold and there will be fewer pollutants. Morning exercises at this time will be better for the body. When doing morning exercises, you should also be careful to avoid doing them in foggy or smoggy weather, as this will cause pollutants to enter the human body and endanger your health.
