How to do the bridge yoga pose?

Contraindications/Warnings

Neck injury: Avoid this yoga pose unless you are under the guidance of an experienced yoga instructor.

It can relieve irregular menstruation, anxiety, fatigue, back pain, headache and insomnia, and has an auxiliary therapeutic effect on asthma, hypertension and osteoporosis.

Exercises

Lie on your back, placing a folded blanket under your shoulders to protect your neck if necessary, bend your knees, and place your feet on the ground close to your hips, keeping your feet and knees parallel and as wide as your hips. Extend your arms straight and place them on the ground close to your sides, with your palms facing the ground.

1. Exhale, press the ground with your feet and arms, lift your hips off the ground, clasp your hands together with your fingers interlocked under your body, stretch your arms straight and keep them close to the ground, and bring your shoulders inward as close to each other as possible.

2. Raise your hips so that they are parallel to your body, make your knees and ankles perpendicular to the yoga floor, and then move your body's center of gravity toward your shoulders.

3. Push the sternum as close to the lower jaw as possible.

4. Maintain this position for 30-60 seconds, exhale, slowly release your hands and lower your body back to the ground.
