Is playing tennis an aerobic exercise?

Nowadays, living standards have improved and human material life has become richer, but many people lack exercise. Everyone knows that long-term aerobic exercise has many benefits to the body. Tennis is a sport that most people like, but is tennis an aerobic exercise? You may wish to continue reading below.

There are many opinions about anaerobic exercise and aerobic exercise, and it is a relatively open question. Even though you jog regularly, it doesn't mean that your physical fitness is good. Tennis is a sport that requires explosive power, and sudden stops and turns are the most common. For example, the difference between running a marathon and running a 100-meter race is that a runner will also feel tired after running a 100-meter race, but the feeling is different from the tiredness of running a marathon. The reason why you feel tired when playing tennis may be that the rhythm and frequency of tennis are very different from those when you are jogging, so it is normal to feel tired. When oxygen cannot be delivered to the muscles, you will not be able to continue.

There is another possibility. Some people like to hold their breath while playing. The consequence of this is that after playing a few balls, their hands and feet are left with no strength. Many professional players will roar when they hit the ball. The advantage of doing this is that it can expel the waste gas from the lungs. Amateur players also need to exhale when hitting the ball, and then inhale rhythmically to allow enough oxygen to enter the lungs.

Aerobic exercise refers to physical exercise performed by the human body with adequate oxygen supply. That is, during exercise, the amount of oxygen inhaled by the human body is equal to its demand, reaching a state of physiological balance. Simply put, aerobic exercise refers to any rhythmic exercise that lasts for a long time (about 15 minutes or more) and has a moderate or high intensity (60% to 80% of the maximum heart rate). Aerobic exercise is a kind of regular exercise that can last for more than 5 minutes with some energy left.

After reading my introduction to aerobic exercise above, everyone has a clear answer to the question of whether playing tennis is an aerobic exercise. There are many ways to do aerobic exercise, and you can choose different ways to exercise. Aerobic exercise should be performed regularly and persisted for a long time to achieve the effect of strengthening your body. Don't give up after a few days.
