Ten yoga tips to help you breathe better

The purpose of practicing Yogic Breathing Control is to awaken the divine cosmic energy within us, which lies dormant in the coccyx, the root chakra, the lowest nerve center of the human body. This latent energy must be aroused and travel up the spine, through the body to the head (the brain's neural network) where it joins with the Holy Spirit.


The following points should be observed in yoga breathing control:

1. You must master the yoga postures before practicing breathing control and gain strength and quality from practicing the postures;



2. In yoga breathing control, the main tool used is the lungs.



3. Make sure your body is clean before practicing.



4. Before starting breathing control exercises, the large intestine should be empty and the bladder should be empty so that you will feel comfortable when doing the contraction method.



5. It is best to practice on an empty stomach. If this is difficult to do, you can drink a small cup of milk, tea, coffee or cocoa. If you practice after a meal, you should practice at least 6 hours after the meal.



6. Half an hour after completing the breathing control exercise, you can eat some light food.



7. The best time to practice is early in the morning (before the sun rises) and after sunset.



8. Ordinary people only need to practice for 15 minutes a day, but for fully committed yoga practitioners, they should practice at least 4 times a day, 80 cycles each time.



9. It should be done in a clean, ventilated place without mosquitoes and at a quiet, noise-free time.



10. Breathing control exercises should be done with determination and regularity, and should be performed at the same time, in the same place, and with the same posture. The only difference is the type of breathing control method practiced. For example, you practiced the Sun Breathing Control on the first day, and you could practice the Tongue-Rolling Cooling Breathing Control on the second day… but the Meridian Cleansing Breathing Control should be practiced every day.
