During the growth and development period, the epiphyseal cartilage will continue to grow, precipitate calcium salts and ossify, causing the length of the bone to continue to increase. When the epiphyseal cartilage is completely ossified and fused with the bone shaft, the length of the bone will no longer increase, which also means that the growth of height will slow down or even stop.

Second, during exercise, children and adolescents will experience accelerated blood circulation, which improves the blood supply to the developing bone tissue and accelerates the bone remodeling process. At the same time, muscle contraction during exercise pulls the bones, causing the bones to bear a certain amount of pressure and tension, which actively stimulates the growth of bones and epiphyseal cartilage plates (growth plates), promotes the proliferation of growth plates, and accelerates bone growth. This promotes the growth of height.
