Golf Tips

Golf is a very beneficial sport, but it is not easy to play golf well. What are the tips for playing golf? How is your technique? Do you want to learn the tips for playing golf faster? Below, the editor will show you several tips for playing golf that can help you get twice the result with half the effort.

1. Choose a wood or iron club with a larger loft angle. Choosing the right club is the first priority. Long irons are the worst for hitting the ball in the rough. If you can see more than a third of the ball sticking out of the turf, I'd recommend a wood. Generally speaking, a 5, 7 or 9 wood with a smaller rounded head will encounter fewer obstacles when hitting the ball through the grass, and it will be easier to play. If the ball is completely buried in the grass, you should opt for a 6-iron or smaller. A larger loft helps your shot travel through the air and back onto the green.

2. Cut as little turf as possible when hitting the ball. No matter which club you choose, make sure the speed of the club head decreases when it contacts the ball, and don't try to "dig" the ball through the swing. The key to a successful shot from the rough is to get as little turf as possible between the clubface and the ball. The decreasing swing speed ensures that the clubface is as clean as possible. What you want to do is use the backspin created by the angle of the clubface and the arc formed by the decreasing swing speed to hit the ball into the air.

3. Don't hit the ball with a big right hook, and don't hit the ball with a big left hook. The denser and deeper the grass is, the straighter the ball will fly. There's a lot of grass obstructing the swing and hitting the ball, which counteracts spin, meaning the ball will fly lower and straighter than usual. If you hit too much grass before you hit the ball, the club's seat can easily get stuck and you'll most likely hit a pull shot. Try to keep your club face clean. You may not be able to get rid of any grass on it, but keep it as little as possible.

4. The position of the ball is crucial. This refers to the position of the ball relative to where you are standing. If the ball is too far forward, it means there will be too much grass in the middle, and if it is too far back, it means there is too little loft. If you use a longer club, the ball should be slightly left of center, and if you use a shorter club, the ball should be in the middle. If your swing isn't particularly formal, you'll need to experiment to find the spot that works for you, being careful not to let the club go through too much grass.

As for gripping the club, there are also three basic ways to grip the club: interlocking grip, overlapping grip, and baseball grip.

An interlocking grip means that when holding the club, the little finger of the right hand is inserted between the index and middle fingers of the left hand and hooked together with the index finger of the left hand. This method is suitable for golfers with shorter fingers. Famous golfers who use this grip method include Gene Sarazen, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite and Tiger Woods. .

The overlapping grip means that the little finger of the right hand is placed between the index finger and middle finger of the left hand when holding the club. This method is more commonly used. Famous golf players who use this grip method include Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Byron Nelson, Ben Crenshaw, Sam Snead and others.

The baseball grip , as the name suggests, is to hold the club with the ten fingers of each hand, and then place the little finger of the right hand and the index finger of the left hand together. This grip is mainly suitable for women and elderly people who lack strength, but some professional golfers also use this method.

No matter which grip you choose, one thing is particularly important, which is to ensure the coordination and cooperation of both hands so that they become a whole and seem to melt together. You can try different grips and find the one that you feel most comfortable using. The most important thing is to see if you hit the ball correctly using this grip.

Conclusion: Golf is a sport that we will come into contact with. It requires high skills. The golf skills introduced above should be helpful to everyone!
