How to move your neck to benefit your cervical spine?

For office workers, cervical spondylosis is a very common disease, mainly due to maintaining an incorrect sitting posture for a long time and looking down at the computer for a long time. Today I will teach you some ways to move your neck, which can relieve pressure on the cervical spine and also protect it. No matter what your job is or how busy you are, you must do some neck rotation exercises from time to time to keep our cervical spine healthier.

Neck soreness is probably caused by often keeping your neck in a certain position for a long time. The neck muscles that maintain this movement are tense for a long time without rest, which causes muscle strain and increases the pressure on the cervical spine.

1. Don’t always maintain the same posture, move more.

2. Raise your right hand, bend your fingers, and bend your index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and little finger. Pinch the neck from top to bottom and from light to heavy 3-5 times. Then raise your other hand and do the same. Use your left hand to pinch the right side of the neck and shoulders 3-5 times, and then use your right hand to pinch the left side of the neck and shoulders 3-5 times. Rub the Fengchi point with the thumbs of both hands. You will feel a sore and swollen sensation after half a minute. Flex the neck forward and backward, flex it to the left and right, and do circular movements of the head, turning it clockwise once and then counterclockwise once.

3. After working for about 1 to 2 hours, you should deliberately turn your head and neck forward, backward, left and right several times. The movement should be gentle and slow, so as to achieve the maximum range of motion in all directions. Relieve cervical joint fatigue. When you look at objects at close range for a long time, especially when you lower your head, it not only affects the cervical spine, but also easily causes visual fatigue and even induces refractive errors.

4. Whenever you work at a desk for too long, you should look up and gaze into the distance for about half a minute. This can not only eliminate fatigue, but also is beneficial to the health of the cervical spine.

Cervical spondylosis may occur irregularly and is accompanied by symptoms such as dizziness and nausea.
