How to stick to exercise to lose weight

The key to sports is persistence. If you have developed a habit, physical exercise will become something you can accept with pleasure, and you will go to the gym or fitness center involuntarily. Developing a good habit takes time, such as one month or two months, or even a year to develop the habit of exercise. Here’s how to develop good exercise habits.

Starting small and aiming to run 15 miles from the start is not a good way to develop a physical activity habit. To form a habit, set goals that are within your capabilities during the first few weeks. Otherwise, you will be scared away by the brutal amount of exercise.

Exercise for its own sake: Going to the gym just to make your body look better is like going into business just to make money. This way, the effort put in won’t be enough to achieve your goal. But if you go to the gym for other reasons, such as to motivate yourself, build strength, or have a good time, you may continue to exercise even if the results are not very obvious.

Eliminate lapses: If you consistently fail to stick with physical exercise, find out why. You don't like sports? You don’t have time? Does being in the gym make you feel uncomfortable? Don’t know fitness techniques? As long as you can find where you made mistakes, you can correct them and start moving towards victory.

Develop a habit first, then buy equipment: Glossy sports equipment cannot promote the development of exercise habits. Despite this, many people still believe that spending thousands of dollars on equipment can make up for their lack of exercise. But this can't make up for it! Therefore, it is better to develop the habit of physical exercise first and then buy sports equipment.

During the exercise process, in order to develop a habit and also to urge yourself to participate in sports, you can do some health checks after exercise every day, such as measuring your muscle strength, blood pressure and weight, your heart rate, etc. Through these health measurements, you can immediately feel the results of exercise, which makes you confident in exercising to lose weight.
