What are the exercises for muscle atrophy?

Muscular atrophy is a relatively common disease. After the onset of the disease, the patient's joints will become unstable due to muscle atrophy. If exercise is performed, it may cause joint damage. Even so, if scientific and effective exercise is carried out, muscle atrophy can be prevented and even have a certain effect on promoting muscle growth. When exercising, first make an effective plan, and then exercise reasonably and effectively according to the plan. Never exercise blindly and vigorously.

Muscular atrophy is one of the more common diseases in clinical practice. Most patients suffer from this disease due to long-term bed rest, which leads to pneumonia or bedsores, causing great harm to patients. In order to better treat this disease, scientific exercise is necessary.

Aerobic exercise: Aerobic exercise can enable patients with muscular atrophy to inhale several times more oxygen than usual during exercise, promote tissue metabolism, ensure sufficient nutrients for the body, and enhance muscle strength, endurance, and body immunity.

Master the rhythm of exercise: There are certain requirements on the time intervals for patients with muscular atrophy to exercise. Only when the muscles have enough rest time can fatigue be fully eliminated, consumed nutrients can be fully compensated, and through overcompensation, the muscles can gradually hypertrophy. On the contrary, if you exercise too frequently, your muscles will not get enough rest and your muscle strength will not increase.

Control the amount of exercise: When exercising, people often use dumbbells, sandbags, tension springs, and rubber strips. So, what weight of dumbbells and sandbags and what kind of tension springs and rubber strips should be chosen? This should be determined according to each person's muscle strength. Generally, it should exceed 2/3 of one's maximum muscle strength, and the weight of the sandbag should be gradually increased.

When building muscles, the choice of exercise method also has its own considerations. For some patients, leg muscle atrophy is very serious. In this case, they are not suitable for exercise. They can only exercise by walking alone. Such gentle exercise can enhance muscle strength to a certain extent, avoid muscle relaxation, and avoid joint instability caused by muscle atrophy.
