Pregnant woman feels stomach discomfort after eating

Pregnant women often experience stomach discomfort after meals. This is mainly because they eat too much. In addition, the gastrointestinal tract is compressed during pregnancy, which causes indigestion. They should correct their eating habits, eat some light food with soups, change their smoking and drinking habits, and eat a fixed amount of food, not too much each time.

Precautions for stomach pain in pregnant women

1. Correct bad eating habits

Eat more light foods, and less fatty, sweet and irritating foods, such as foods containing alcohol and spices. Be careful about food that is too sour, too sweet, too salty, too bitter, or too spicy, and do not have a preference for any of the five flavors. Patients who have a smoking habit should quit smoking.

2. Eat regularly and in regular amounts

Patients with long-term stomach pain should have three meals a day or snacks on time, with reasonable intervals between them. Patients with acute stomach pain should try to eat small meals frequently and should eat less or no snacks to reduce the burden on the stomach.

3. Pay attention to nutritional balance

Your daily diet should provide foods rich in vitamins to help protect the gastric mucosa, improve its defense capabilities, and promote the repair of local lesions.

4. If the pregnant mother has stomach problems, or cannot distinguish between gastritis and stomach burning pain caused by pregnancy, it is recommended to go to the hospital to prevent the gastritis from getting worse. In addition, if vomiting is severe and some symptoms of acidosis appear, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time.
