Aerobic exercise can completely reduce fat

Mouse experiment fights against arteriosclerosis. This is an experiment that studies the fat-reducing mechanism of aerobic exercise from a molecular perspective. Institute of Sports Medicine, Peking University Third Hospital Professor Chen Jidi and her graduate students conducted experiments using mice that already had high blood lipid levels. They had these high-lipidemia mice perform aerobic exercise every day (swimming and running). After 6 to 8 weeks, it was found that the blood lipid levels of these mice had been significantly reduced, the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels had been significantly increased, and the formation of their atherosclerotic plaques had been significantly inhibited.

High-density lipoprotein is what we commonly call "good cholesterol". Professor Chen's experiment proves that aerobic exercise can lower blood lipids because it can increase the gene expression level of high-density lipoprotein receptors, thereby reducing the level of low-density lipoprotein (commonly known as "bad cholesterol") and increasing the level of high-density lipoprotein, thereby promoting fat metabolism.
