Why does my body itch when I run?

Why does my body itch when I run?

Because people pay more and more attention to their physical health, they will be happy to do things that are good for their health. For example, if you insist on exercising, you can strengthen your body and lose weight, so more and more people are exercising now. But some people find that when they run for a while, they feel itchy. What's going on? How can they relieve it?

1. You haven't exercised for a long time and have just started running. Your leg muscles need to provide you with the power to run, and the muscles will produce heat. But when the muscles are tense and irritate the skin, it may feel itchy, like ants crawling on it.

2. You do not do sufficient preparation before running, and once you start, the speed is relatively fast. The thigh muscles have to adapt to your exercise intensity in a very short period of time, which leads to leg discomfort.

3. When exercising, blood circulation accelerates and the body begins to sweat. However, because the subcutaneous capillaries in some parts of the body are narrow and the skin pores are tightened, the capillaries cannot withstand the pressure caused by the accelerated blood, and the pores cannot eliminate the sweat, which will cause itching. Solution:

1. Make adequate preparations before running, and after starting, gradually increase the speed.

2. Keep going, and once your body gradually adapts, the feeling of heat, itchiness and crawling ants in your legs will disappear.

3. If you feel itchy while exercising, stop and walk slowly to give the capillaries and pores time to expand. The pain will be relieved after a while. After the pain is relieved, you can exercise again and the itchiness will not be as strong as before. Repeat this process and the itchiness will gradually subside.

It is normal to feel itchy when you just start running. It will subside after a period of time, so don't be overly nervous. If you feel severe itching, you can change running to walking, which can relieve the itching on your body. If you can do some warm-up exercises before running, it can also reduce the symptoms of itching.
